Louise Hays Park

Location(s):
1 of 1
Louise Hays Park sits on 64 acres perched on the Guadalupe River in downtown Kerrville. The crown jewel of the Kerrville Parks System offers an interactive fountain, playground, restrooms, pavilions for rent, river access, the Centennial Stage, and access to the iconic Kerrville River Trail.

Louise Hays Park is home to various special events, like the Concerts by the River series and Kerrville's 4th on the River. A growing number of public art installations can be found throughout the park.

Make sure to take a stroll on
Tranquility Island, a 7 acre Cypress lined island in the middle of the Guadalupe River. The Island is available for rent and is now equipped with electric access. You can access the island by following the River Trail West from Louise Hays Park towards the Riverside Nature Center. Bridges connect the island to the main park and to an accessible ramp on the bank below Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library.

No entrance fee. Fees apply to pavilion, Island, and stage rentals.
