2 Paws Up! Hill Country’s Pet-Approved Fun for Your Furry Family

In the romping Hill Country town of Kerrville, your furry friends have a lot to purr and bark about! We are talking oodles of fun for your beloved family pets. From leisurely walks around the town to their very own dinner menus, Kerrville is a pet-friendly Texas town designed for the WHOLE family – especially for those who love their fur babies.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Let’s talk Hill Country dog-friendly restaurants. We want to make sure your pet is treated as good as any person would be sitting down for a delicious meal. This is where mouth-watering dog menus come in handy. In Kerrville, you will find full-service, pet-friendly restaurants throughout town, with fresh dog water bowls and real dog menus for you to order their next nutritious meal from. Your pet is going to indulge in fine dining as you fill your belly alongside with them.

For all American cuisine with dog-friendly restaurant menus, take you and your pup to Rails A Café at the Depot in historic downtown Kerrville or Café at the Ridge in The Ridge Marketplace, just outside of town. Rails A Café at the Depot has 4 different menu items for you to choose for your pooch pal, including all natural bison patties, chicken and rice bowls and sweet bone shaped treats made from rolled oats, peanut butter, and honey. For an additional cost, you can purchase an adorable commemorative dog bowl as a take-home souvenir. Café at the Ridge offers up a Bark Bowl, chock full of healthy veggies and topped with savory meat for your pet to satisfy their appetite all in a beautiful Hill Country setting.

Quench both you and your dog’s thirst by making your way down to Kerrville Hills Winery and Pint and Plow Brewery. While you enjoy a soothing glass of wine or a cold, refreshing beer, fresh dog water bowls are already served up for your pup and ready for them to hydrate with a cool drink of water. Both you and your favorite furry friend will be satisfied with the drinks, food, and service at one of our dog-friendly venues.

Pet-Friendly Parks and Trails

Take a walk on the wild side with Kerrville’s favorite parks and walking trails designed to give you and your little buddy an even greater taste of the good life.

For socializing parks, Lehmann-Monroe Park gives your pooch a chance to socialize with his fellow hounds in a safely enclosed space. This well-loved Kerrville dog park features dog water stations, agility equipment, seating for you, and 2 separate sides designated for small and large pets. Tailchasers Dog Park and Pub is a unique destination for dog lovers to relax while their pets enjoy off-leash play. This park features separate areas for small and large dogs, ensuring safe and enjoyable interaction. While the dogs socialize, owners can enjoy a selection of local craft beers, wines, and food from local food trucks in a laid-back, dog-friendly atmosphere. It's a great spot for both locals and visitors to unwind and connect with other pet owners, all while giving their furry friends plenty of space to roam.

If you are up for a little exploring and scenic walks, you can easily access the Kerrville River Trail and Louise Hays Park without moving your car or loading up your furry friend. The Kerrville River Trail extends over 6 miles along the Guadalupe River with areas of shade and benches for resting. It even has dog water fountain stations along the way, specifically at the G street Trailhead, to keep your pup refreshed and rejuvenated as you take in the picturesque scenery.

Another popular park, Kerrville Schreiner Park is spacious and serene for both you and your pet’s hair to take flight as you embrace the breeze coming off the Guadalupe River. Kerrville-Schreiner Park is a large and beautiful Texas pet-friendly park, with 517-acres for you to take your dog on a walk during the day or as the sun begins to set. Not only can you find plenty of space for your pet, but you will love the array of amenities and fun outdoor activities, including sand volleyball courts, fishing piers, and butterfly gardens.

You and your pet are going to love breathing in the fresh air and taking in the expansive wildlife at one of Kerrville’s spectacular Hill Country parks.

Pet-Friendly Places to Stay
